Jyotirlinga at Kedarnath
This stone temple is a Jyotirlinga. The tale we tell on the trail is of the Pandavas seeking Shiva, who stayed here as a bull. Darshan is at the linga inside the old walls.
The Mandakini runs below the town. Snow sits on the ridges most of the open season. After the 2013 flood the temple still stands; we brief every group on weather and the walk.
