Trip Overview
This Delhi-start run covers Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in eleven days. Distances are long and queues move slowly, so the calendar keeps a buffer at each shrine instead of stacking two dhams in a rush. Our Haridwar desk books rooms, vehicles and permit windows; you still stand in line for darshan.
Day Wise Plan
Pickup in Delhi, then the highway towards Haridwar. If traffic holds, you reach Har Ki Pauri in time for Ganga Aarti. Sleep in Haridwar after aarti.
The road climbs past Mussoorie towards Barkot. Keep a jacket ready once you leave the Doon valley. Night halt at Barkot.
Morning transfer to Janki Chatti, then walk, pony or palki up to Yamunotri Temple. Finish darshan and drop back down the same trail. Return to Barkot for the night.
Follow the Bhagirathi into Uttarkashi. Evening is set aside for Kashi Vishwanath Temple in town. Rest the night in Uttarkashi.
Head up-valley to Gangotri for Maa Ganga darshan. Give the shrine its due, then roll back down to town. Beds in Uttarkashi after the temple run.
A long hill transfer into Guptkashi. Arrive, stretch your legs and eat early so tomorrow’s Kedarnath start is not a scramble. Settle in Guptkashi for the night.
Reach Sonprayag, then continue to Kedarnath on foot, by pony or by optional helicopter. Complete darshan and come back down the same day. Base yourself in Guptkashi overnight.
Road to Badrinath via Joshimath. Temple darshan on arrival; join evening aarti if the queue still moves. Put up at Badrinath for the night.
Optional stop at Mana Village, then the descent via Joshimath towards Rudraprayag. Lodging in Rudraprayag tonight.
Retrace the Alaknanda, passing the prayags on the way down to Haridwar. Wind down in Haridwar.
Leave Haridwar after breakfast and take the highway back to Delhi. Drop at your pickup point; the circuit ends here.
